My Story icon-aboutus1

I love to go back and think about the day that I had a vision to birth a company that is now known as BoogieBulb®. My daughter was born in 2008 and I remember I was very sick at the time of delivery. I took her home from the hospital and three days later my newborn infant was sick. Her tiny little nose was runny and she was sneezing and as a first time mother I was stressed to see this helpless infant suffer with nasal congestion.

I remember taking home the blue nasal aspirator bulb from the hospital and using it on my daughter continuously to help keep her airway open. I was like, “this nasal aspirator is fantastic!” I had used it so many times, I knew it was time to toss it and buy a new one. So I went to the local pharmacy to pick up a nasal aspirator only to find out it didn’t have the same suction power as the one I had. I mean, it looked the “same” on the outside and I just couldn’t understand why it didn’t have that “magical suction power” that I had experienced with the other one.

So I went back to several other stores and bought each and every kind of nasal aspirator, snot suckers, and blue bulbs on the market only to find to find none of them worked. I went back to the hospital and asked for another one and was told no. Fortunately, my father served on the medical board for 30 years and I called him up and asked him for his help in getting me some of the medical grade aspirators to help my sick daughter. With gratitude, I was able to get a couple more to hold me over. At that point, I knew I couldn’t have been the only parent out there looking for these and I realized there was a huge need for these medical grade nasal aspirators. And this is how my vision got started.
